In 2015, Nike launched a series of special Mercurial that retrace the career of Cristiano Ronaldo through seven chapters. Five chapters have already been unveiled so far. Here they are.
Before October 26, 2015, the launch date of the first chapter of the Nike Mercurial CR7 collection, Nike had already made special shoes for his main ambassador. But these special colors, like the "Galaxy" or the "Silverware", for Cristiano Ronaldo did not retrace a precise period of the career of the player. They were rather showcase colors for an exceptional player. With the seven chapters "CR7" of the Mercurial, Nike went beyond pure aestheticism. The comma equipment maker aims to honor the career, the construction of a living myth of soccer. The proof with the five colors revealed so far.
CHAPTER 1: SAVAGE BEAUTY
Launched on October 26, 2015, the first chapter of the collection is titled "Savage Beauty" and pays tribute to the native island of Cristiano Ronaldo: Madeira. The "Savage Beauty" is therefore both a reference to the birth or childhood of the future prodigy but also to a magnificent island that is full of volcanoes.

This is why Nike decides to display a print representing the lava of the Madeira volcanoes which like the game Ronaldo at the time, was ready to gush. Note that it is the Mercurial Superfly IV, that wore Ronaldo since 2014, which was chosen to bear the colors of this chapter. More info on this pair.
CHAPTER 2: NATURAL DIAMOND
On March 18, 2016, Nike unveiled the second chapter of the CR7 collection, called "Natural Diamond". With its shades of blue, this color represents the career of Cristiano Ronaldo from his childhood in Madeira until his move to Lisbon to become a professional soccerer. The image being: "Ronaldo, this rough diamond to polish". Moreover, we note that the rear part of the shoe, darker, offers structures in relief that represent crystals. After two first very abstract chapters in their inspiration and their realization, a more concrete chapter 3 is placed. Unveiled on November 7, 2016, this chapter refers directly to a match that changed the career of Cristiano Ronaldo. This match is the opposition between Manchester United and Sporting Clube Portugal on 6 August 2003 in Lisbon. At the friendly meeting, 18-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo scored the screen by "ridiculing" the Manchester defenders several times. So he will sign at the Red Devils 10 days later. The beginning of the legend CR7 took shape this famous 6 August 2003, a date immortalized on the heel of this chapter 3.

On the color side, the shoe resumes the colors of Sporting CP with a mixture of dark green, fluorescent green and white. Besides the date of the match, there are other references such as the José Alvalade stadium Sporting which is drawn on the soles inside. CHAPTER 4: FORGED FOR GREATNESS
On April 3, 2017, Nike unveiled Chapter 4 of the CR7 collection, the "Forged For Greatness". For this chapter 4, Nike still uses a picture, that of CR7 whose talent and career will be forged in Manchester United such steel, with Alex Ferguson as blacksmith. This explains the colors of this chapter mainly gray and metallic blue (for steel) with an orange gradient on the lower part to present the blacksmith's fire. On the pair, we find the Roman numerals XXVIII (28) and VII (7) which represent the shirt numbers worn by CR7.

CHAPTER 5: CUT TO BRILLANCE
On September 20, 2017, Nike unveiled the fifth chapter of the CR7: Cut To Brillance collection. Behind this term hides the explosion of the qualities of Cristiano Ronaldo within Real Madrid. Make to shine, Ronaldo and Real Madrid have personalities and a picture that stick wonderfully.
